How is SANA Hypnotherapy different?

Most hypnotherapy courses are a couple of days to a week long. At SANA Hypnotherapy, our hypnotherapy practitioners have gone through 2 years of schooling trained by professionals with over 50 years of combined experience and have completed 160 hours of practical before getting certified. They are recognized by the Results Therapy International Association and are fully insured.

SANA doesn’t only stick to hypnotherapy but uses many tools within a single session, including energy healing, EFT, chakra balancing, traditional talk therapy and more.

What is the difference between meditation and hypnosis?

Meditation is the same alpha physical state as hypnosis, but meditation has an intention to relax and let go of our stresses from the day, while hypnotherapy has the intention to create change. 

Is Hypnosis the same as sleep? 

Hypnosis is not the same as sleep. While hypnotised, you are in either the alpha or theta state. When you are sleeping, you are in the delta state. 

Will I be able to remember the session?

When in deep hypnosis, we fall into the theta state. In this state, some people experience spontaneous amnesia but only for the conscious mind, the subconscious mind does not experience amnesia.

How does Hypnosis work?

Hypnosis uses the power of suggestion when a person is in a trance, either a light or deep state of hypnosis. When a person is fully conscious, such as actively learning, engaged in conversation, they are known to be in the Beta state. When in the light state of hypnosis, they are in the alpha state. When in deep hypnosis, they fall into the theta state. While in either of these last 2 states, suggestions to alter memories or beliefs are given, thus creating new neural pathways and changing our habits or way of thinking.

Who can benefit from hypnosis?

Everyone can benefit from hypnosis. Some people believe they cannot be hypnotised but this is not true. Just as people learn differently, people respond to hypnosis differently. A good hypnotherapy practitioner will know how to speak to you during hypnosis in order for you to respond and see benefits. 

Will I loose control? 

Even when hypnotised, you are always in control. If the hypnotherapy practitioner says something that goes against your beliefs, you will simply push that aside and carry on with the session. In fact, when in hypnosis, you and so aware of your thoughts that you can easily navigate anything you do not want revealed.

How does energy healing work?

Using muscle testing or a pendulum, the hypnotherapy practitioner will release negative emotions and beliefs and install positive ones by moving energy along the Governing meridian.
